About The Titus Woman

WHY THE TITUS WOMAN?

the titus womanI’m glad you asked!

I’m Cindy Singleton.

In the book of Titus, older women (that’s me!) are instructed to “teach what is good” (aka the Bible) to younger women. That’s why I write.

FOR MOMS WHO NEED STRENGTH AND WISDOM

For the first 25 years of our marriage, my husband worked for long stretches overseas.  I was raising our daughters by myself for up to three months at a time, and I faced an onslaught of exhaustion, loneliness, and self-doubt.   But I learned to rely on Jesus as my source of strength, and realized He’s everything I need.

FOR WIVES WHO WANT A LASTING MARRIAGE

My husband and I weren’t married long before we discovered we were poor candidates for a good and lasting marriage. With all the baggage and unrealistic expectations we’d brought to the table, our relationship was on the verge of collapse. But God’s grace and power brought us to our knees and helped us begin again. Today we’ve been married for over four decades and I treasure him more than any other man on earth.  Together we flip houses and spend tons of time with our nine grandchildren.

FOR WOMEN WHO WANT TO BUILD STRONG FAMILIES

Since much of my daughters’ growing-up years was spent with my husband working overseas,  they depended on me to build a strong family foundation for them.  I didn’t do everything perfectly, but I learned so much along the way about creating a home with Christ as our foundation.

I want to share with you what I’ve learned about building a foundation that will last. That includes everything from why family mealtimes are a big deal to dealing with crazy family members!

Speaking of crazy family members, with three daughters, three sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren, we throw a ready-made party any time someone wants to celebrate!

One of the highlights of our year is hosting Camp Cece for all the cousins.  This year we included all the parents!

MY FAVORITES

Next to my Bible and my family, the things I can’t live without are lipstick, hairspray, and popcorn. Actually, I’m pretty passionate about ice cream, too. In fact, once I gulped a soft-serve ice cream cone with lightning speed and then complained the cone tasted a little stale. Imagine my surprise when my daughters gleefully pointed out that I’d eaten the cone’s paper wrapper! Em-ba-rra-ssing!

Since I’m fortunate to have a family member who lives very close to Disneyworld, I spend a lot of time there. And I haven’t tired of it yet.

LET’S JOURNEY TOGETHER!

No matter what season of life you’re in, I hope you’re just like me—on a journey of faith, longing for my heart and home to more closely resemble the God I love.

If we’ve never met, I hope I get to know you here. In fact, I’d love to connect with you on Facebook or Instagram!

More than anything, I hope what you read here will be a blessing to you.
