HOW (AND WHY) TO PRACTICE CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY
I love to cook, and I brew sweet, Southern iced tea by the gallons. I also love to set a pretty table and gather people around me.
Lately, though, my entertaining has been pretty much limited to my family. With three daughters, three sons-in-law, eight grandchildren, and a mom and siblings who come for overnight visits, I can cook and pour tea as much as my heart desires.
But the Covid-19 pandemic has given me pause about the value of hospitality. After social-distancing for far longer than any of us thought would be necessary, I’m hungering for more when it comes to entertaining.
More importantly, I feel like God is nudging me to overcome my introverted tendencies that keep me snug inside my comfort zone. From a biblical perspective, Christian hospitality calls for me to swing my door wider open.
That’s why I wrote Developing A Heart For Hospitality over at A Wife Like Me.
Join me for a look at why it’s so important for us to learn how to practice Christian hospitality.
